Our CYSP students ended the year with a great camping trip!!
IMSA West students who participate in the CYSP (Concept Young Scholars Program) went to the McCormick’s Creek state park for 2 nights of camping. They did quite a bit of hiking and exploring, cooked hot dogs and s’mores over the fire. Some were able to get through Wolf Cave (a small self-guided cave that is its own adventure), as well as a bunch of outdoor fun creating friendships and memories. The highlight of the trip though is the horseback riding. It’s fun watching students facing their fears as their expressions change to excitement and then coming back from the 45 minute tour feeling sad it’s over and wanting to do it again! Special Thanks to Mrs. Tschaenn and the mentor staff members for helping us make this adventure happen!
